Hello and welcome!
Thank you for checking out our new site! We hope you’ll come back again and again and become part of the family Tree.
We’ve just begun working on a brand new Talley Trio recording! Our first studio dates for tracking are in June and so we are hard at work choosing songs and arranging them, and we need your help. Now obviously, there are too many songs that come in for you to listen to and review all of them with us, so we want you to give us an idea of the types of songs you like to hear us perform best.
We’d like you to tell us which Talley song is your favorite and what makes it your favorite. Is it the lyric? Is it the style of music? Is it the featured singer? We want to know what you like the most and why. If you have a special story or testimony associated with that song, we’d love to hear that too! You are welcome to share about whatever Talley song you like, be it on a Trio recording or solo recording by one of the Talleys.
Those whose comments are posted will receive a FREE mp3 download of a limited-release Talley Trio song! You will be asked to provide your email address, and an email will be sent to you with a link and password through which you will receive the free download.
Tell us what you love about Talley music and help us record an album that you will love!
Thank you for your input! We’ll be waiting to hear from you…….
Lauren Talley
My favorite Talley Trio songs are the ballads with inspiring or touching lyrics. My favorite Talleys song is “Triumphantly the Church Will Rise,” and other favorites include “Jesus Saves,” “His Life for Mine,” and “Orphans of God.”
It doesn’t make a big difference to me who has the feature.
Reply to Daniel J. MountI love the Broken Ones because I can relate. I’ve been broken for years and no one until last year would take the time to listen to me. It took that one person to come into my life and hold out their hand to me. Listening was all I needed and still need and I know she’s always there if I need her.
Reply to AnonymousI love the song mountain mover it really is a good song for the one that have a mountain in they live they need move by god
Reply to tinaMy favorite song is “Triumphantly the Church Will Rise”. I have enjoyed your music since you were just The Talley’s, when Kirk was with you. I have about everyone of your cassette’s and CD’s. So keep making the music. I love the webpage also, it has purple on it.
Reply to Susie SweanyIt is very difficult to choose a favorite of your songs, but if I were to choose, it would have to be “I Just Want To Say Thank You” because I think God is so awesome and we don’t tell Him enough what a blessing it is to have Him in our lives. We are always to busy for a God who gives so much. This song just says it for us. Thank You Talley Trio for all you do.
Reply to Carol WelchI appreciate the Talley Trio’s music and ministry, and have for many years, from back when they were “The Talleys” (around 1986). Probably (though there are many unforgettable songs I cherish by the Talley Trio) my favorite is “Hallelujah, Praise the Lamb.” But great songs just keep coming and minister to many people.
Reply to steve lytleI love the song “The Broken Ones”. I have just recently heard this song and it made me cry and it still makes me cry each time I hear it. It is a precious story and tells such truth. If we all loved like Him, this world would be a better place. God Bless You.
Reply to Janet HerringMy favorite Talleys song is “I Love the Lord/Total Praise,” although it was very hard to choose. This song touches me to the core–I think we’ll be hearing this one in heaven!
I think what I like best about your music is that it is so diverse. Most artists, it seems, just record the same sound, over and over and over. You guys always have something fresh and something new. My daughter and I both sing your music in our church, so we really appreciate the way you offer your tracks all together on one CD. That is a blessing! We do wish you would keep including tracks with BGVs though. We’ve missed that on recent albums. Especially for the songs that feature more of a solo than the full trio sound.
Thanks for your dedication and faithfulness. May God bless you abundantly!

Reply to Rachel OvertonI love all the songs ya’ll sing, but I think my favorite is “His Life for Mine”. What a powerful message in such a simple song. He really did give His life for anybody that will just believe. Keep up the great ministry that God has blessed ya’ll with.
Reply to Ronnie ToomeyYou are all three very special to us. Your songs, your demeanor on stage & off are very meaningful. I love the variety of songs you sing. If I had to choose a song, I would choose “Thinking about HOme”, “Testify” & “I Love the Cross”. I know that is more than one song but you know me!! By the way, we hope to see you the week before Memorial Day.
We love you,
Bill & Pat
Reply to Bill & Pat BrayI have to add–some other favorites that cannot go unmentioned: “His Life for Mine” and “By Grace I’m Changed.” I have only heard “By Grace” on the CD. I would love to hear it in concert. It is such an awesome song. (We’ll be at the Steve Hurst concert this year–hint, hint!!)

Reply to Rachel OvertonI justed wanted to say that He’s The Only Reason is my favorite song. I cry every time I hear that song. It blesses me everytime. It’s definately an annointed song. I’ve sung at church before but it’s been a while because I lost the keys for the song so now I can’t play it on the piano.
Reply to Elizabeth GavitI think my favorite song has to be “He’s the Only Reason I Live”! Every time I hear it, or sing it myself, I get goosebumbs! The message is so amazing and so true! If it weren’t for Him, I wouldn’t even be alive! When I start feeling down, I just listen to that song & it gives me a reason to live again!
Reply to Debbie KI love the really big ballads. The first song I ever heard you guys do was “The Healer.” Incidentally, it has to be my favorite. I was going through a rough time in my life, and almost immediately, I fell in love with that song and went out and bought Hope for Tomorrow.
Reply to AlyssaI have been a fan of the Talley’s for a very long time. The first song that really got me interested in The Talleys was Searchin’ by The Talleys featuring Jason Crabb. I have been hooked every since.
I enjoy all the solo recordings by the Talleys as well as the group itself. I am defiantely looking forward to seeing the Talleys on June 13th in Columbus, Indiana. It has been a long time since i have seen the group and I always leave blessed after hearing the message in THEIR song for HIM!!
Reply to Chris RutanIf I had to choose just one favorite, I think it would be “Truth Is Marching On”.There is so much meaning in that song, both spiritual and patriotic!
Reply to Andy ForbesIt’s hard to choose a favorite, but the song “My Help” has been my anthem over the past few months. On March 14th, my 2 year old had a massive stroke that left him unable to speak or move. I had the song on my phone, and listened to it over and over. ALL of my help comes from the Lord, else I wouldn’t make it. We’ve learned the true meaning of grace and that peace that passeth all understanding. If you check out Tucker’s story at http://www.tuckersheart.com, you’ll understand why.

From your album, Praise for The Ages, Your recording, No one ever Cared for Me like Jesus is the top song on my play list. I have lived a long time 71 years and know in my heart that he is all that I need and I find a real peace when I listen to Debra sing this song. Thank you for including my wife, Susan and I on the Talley Tree
Reply to Jim EvansHello, I just wanted you all to know that I really enjoy all of the Talley music. I really do not have a favorite song because to me I enjoy all of your songs, but if I had to choose it would have to be seachin with Jason Crabb. The Crabb Famliy was my first gospel group that my brother introduced me to., and I really love their music. As for your new website I am so glad that you have something like this so that others can enjoy and read what people think. As for know I must go.Keep up the good work, and may GOD BLESS YOU ALL. JANET K.
Reply to janet kostielneyI am seventeen years old and I have been a fan of ya’ll and your music for many year, so it is going to be very dificult for me to have to choose my favorite song. Everyone of the songs that ya’ll sing, have said something about my life or touched my life in some way. The words of your music has gotten me through hard times. I cannot just choose one song there are three that pop in my mind right away as my favorites
Reply to Kaseyand they are The Broken One’s because I love the message how it says I f everyone Loved liked God does there would be alot less broken ones, Keep Walking On because it says if we keep walking down the Straight and Narrow we will eventually get to Heaven, and then finially there is the song What a Meeting
the reason this song is one of my favorites is because I know the two people who wrote the song, every summer they teach a singing school and I have been to it a couple of times the two of them are wonderful people and that song is a very special song to me. Those are my top three Talley Trio Songs
I hope your music has touched others as much as it has touched me. God Bless Ya’ll and your ministry.
This is a great idea! We have the Singing News forums and others where people start a thread about their favorite group, but a website where you can discuss things and all of the above related to this particular group is a great idea!
I think all of the above songs are outstanding, not only the melodies and the lyrics, but also the sincere presentation. But hands down, my favorite is His Life For Mine. I’m the Music Director at my church and when I sing that song, people weep. It’s such a tremendous message and Rebecca Peck does such great job of phrase-turning. “His heart was broken, mine was mended. He became sin, now I am clean”. What a tremendous portrayal of what Christ did for us on the cross!
Reply to Steve BentleyI love your work, singly, collectively, musically, and lyrically. Testament had the biggest influence in my life because it helped me so much as I grieved for my husband. I began to believe I’m Gonna Make It, He’s the Only Reason I Live, and I Want It All. My current favorite is Red Letter Day. I especially love that your arrangements are extremely diverse. I love the jazzy alto numbers from Debbie, the belted blasts from Lauren, and the classic Southern Gospel songs from Roger. I love the organ riffs, the guest singers you include, and the humble testimony of your lives, Can you guess that I am a fan? Keep on Singing for the King, Susan
Reply to Susan NogleP.S. Hope to see you at singing school in July. S.N.
I have to tell you that ever sence we seen you in Springdale Arkansas my grandaughter hasen’t stoped singing your songs. We are big fans of your and wish you would come back to Arkansas, We love you and God bless.

I am a cousin to Debra. I have enjoyed hearing her sing and glorify the Lord for many many years. My grandson Jordan saw them the last time they were home in Clinton,KY and he was in awe. He listens to the tapes and already knows many of the songs by heart. Our favorite song is “Mountain Mover” we sing this song whenever we get a chance to sing together. We truly enjoy listening to all the songs, we feel closer to Debra and her family when we are listening to their music. Thank you for the work that you are doing for our Gracious Saviour. Love to all of you, Susan Warren and the McWhorter family in TN
Reply to Susan WarrenI have been a fan of the Talley’s for quite some time now. My favorite song would have to be “He’s Alive”. I love the words to this song and I find myself humming it all day long. I love all the songs you sing, keep it up. You all are some of the most gifted people I know. Thank you for always having a hug for me; and Debra, you are always interested in how my mom is….I can never thank you enough for always being interested in what is going on in people’s lives, especially mine. I feel your prayers and I hope you can feel mine. May God continue to bless you and hope to see you soon.

I had to chime in. First this is a great idea to share thoughts and comments about your songs and your ministry. I have been following the Talleys since before they were a group. Back in the Hopper days with the recording “Good Things”. And I have every recording you all have ever made either in LP, Cass. or CD and they all have special songs on them. I love the fast kicking songs, and the slow thought provoking songs. But I must say, my favorite song on CD and in concert is “Shout to the Lord / How Great Thou Art”. Putting those two songs together is genius! It takes you straight to the throne of worship.
Reply to Greg BentleyKeep up the great work!
Dear Tallet Trio, I am very happy to be able to access this site. My favorite song so far is The Broken One. I love the lyrics. and the beat is very good also. I am looking forward to being able to hear more of your work and recieving the ministry from it. Carol Wampler

I love the Talley Trio, I think Lauren has the most amazing voice ever. It is hard for me to pick a favorite song b/c I love them all. Thanks for the ministry!! You guys are awesome!
Reply to Leigh Ann FortuneYou are great.
Reply to Scott WagnerMy all time favorites are a couple of oldies that Debra sings: “Thinkin’ About Home” and not sure of title but something to the effect that “I am or am not a citizen of two worlds.”
But ya’ll could sing the “abc song” and I would love it. What a pleasure to watch Lauren grow as a gospel singer. It’s been a great journey and I know her parents are extremely proud, as they should be.
Will talk more later….

I just love the Talley Trio! I was a fan of them back when it was The Talley’s with Debra, Roger, and Kirk and love them even more today with Lauren singing. She’s got such an incredible voice that surpasses her years. My favorite Talley Trio songs are “Hallelujah, Praise the Lamb,” “Almighty,” and “Glory to God.”
Reply to Meagan WilliamsTalley Trio, I love this Website and the community it fosters. That’s so important today–the approachability, reality and personal touch–especially for younger people. I am not so young but have become a fan since seeing you with The Hoppers in Birmingham, Ala., last January. I bought “Stages” that night. I had to buy “Praise for the Ages” after seeing you perform “High and Lifted Up/Hallelujah Chorus” on the Sevier Heights concert that’s been on cable TV. Handel’s “Hallelujah” is my all-time favorite piece of music, no matter how it’s arranged, and your version with the praise and worship song is wonderful! I also really love “His Life for Mine.” I am still catching up on your earlier music. Keep up the great work for the Lord.

I think the Talley Trio is great. Lauren is the powerhouse singer. I love them all!
Reply to Andy ArrantsWhere to begin when picking a favorite Talley Trio song. I have sung Talley Trio songs for years as a solo and with our group. So please keep the great songs coming. I have been a fan for a long time, but the last year has made me love your music more than ever. I have an almost 4 year old daughter, who loves to pretend she is Lauren Talley. So hearing her sing All the words to songs such as, Song to Sing, High and Lifted Up/Hallelujah Chorus, Mountain Mover, God Likes People, etc. makes me feel very blessed. Knowing that your music can reach from age 4 to probably 104 I am sure is a blessing. But some that are my favorites that I love to sing, because they are very special to me are songs like, Then and There, His Life for Mine, Truth is Marching On, Jesus What a Friend, The Healer, Oraphans of God, and Lord I Believe in You. What amazing songs with amazing lyrics, to be sung by God-given people who love Him and it shows. The song that probably means the most to me is “I know how to say Thank you.” This song came out at a perfect time for my husband and I and it still is a blessing today. We lost our first child in 2003 and we heard this song and we were able to sing it and use it as a testimony. “I don’t know about the future, I don’t understand some things about the past. I don’t know why some things happen, I don’t know why some things end and others last.” These were questions that we were asking God daily! But we knew that He had carried us through each situation and we knew ” How to say Thank You.” So I would now like to say “Thank you.” Thank you for doing what God has called you to do and using your gifts for His glory. I am now able to “Thank Him,” because I have a 4 year old little girl that loves to sing your songs to praise our King. Thank you for being a blessing!
Reply to BeckyI really don’t know exactly where to begin to tell everyone how much the Talley Trio has Blessed me in the past. I have been a fan of the Talley’s for many years and watched Lauren grow into this lovely Christian lady and how she praises the Lord in song. This family group is what the world needs to see as they have traveled the world singing about the Love of Jesus and then to see the look on their faces certainly shows the Heart of God! I am from St. Louis, Missouri but we live in Springfield, Missouri now and the Talley’s are in our area a few times during the year and I am always there because I want to share in the blessings they bring to my heart in song. I love you all and just pray for your safe travel daily so that the Lord can carry his Good Work through each of you. Lauren you have just become so full of Grace and it is always so nice to watch the look on your mom and dad’s face as their child fulfills the promise of God through SONG! Thank you again for your testimony and Lauren for you as you, “Testify”.
Your sister in Christ,

So many of your songs are favorites, but I especially enjoy “Truth is Marching On”. We heard you sing it at the National Quartet Convention as well as in Danville, PA. I love the arrangement. I love your music, and the words to so many of the songs you sing have ministered to me countless times. We’re looking forward to seeing you at the National Quartet Convention again as well as Danville, PA. I think I have every cassette and CD that the Talleys and The Talley Trio have done. We appreciate your testimonies - you have a great ministry.
Reply to Joyce BrungartFirst of all let me say I love the Talley Trio!!! It’s hard to choose a favorite b/c of all the powerful songs they’ve sung over the years. I’d have to say that all of them are favorites but a few really shine in particular. “The Broken Ones” reminds me all too much of myself. I grew up in church and new every “rule and regulation” for Christianity. Deep down inside, I did not know the real rule/regulation for Christianity-Jesus. I felt like I was the soul thrown into the garbage and left forever with no one to help me to get out. But thank God, Jesus came and pulled me out and brought me into his family with which I’ve been completely satisfied. Another song that really ministered to me was “Oh What a Reason”. This and “The Broken Ones” have been my theme since becoming a Christian. More and more each day do I realize that God is the Reason I live…but Oh! What a Reason! Thanks so much for letting God work through your lives so someone like me could receive eternal salvation through Jesus Christ…You’ve helped make my life,a world of a difference!
And Lauren-thanks for tearing up “Hallelujah Praise the Lamb” on the Gaither video! Man y’all can sing!
Reply to Andrew StephensGreat new web-tree! I love the Talley’s. I love your songs, and your commitment to Christ! It’s hard to pick a favorite, but I really like “I Love the Lord” Incredible harmony, and wonderful praise to our Savior. I also like “The Healer.” Going through a difficult battle with my Dad and cancer, the song ministered in a special way. Daddy was healed in a heavenly homegoing. I wish it could have been here, but God chose to take him home. I know today he is WHOLE - healed in his body, and happy in his spirit. Thank you for lots of great songs. I especially like that the Talleys are a family group that love each other. Families are missing out when not able to spend time together. You are blessed, and you bless others with your ministry. Thank You.
Reply to BeccyI’ve been blessed to be able to hear the Talley Trio in Mississippi twice and hearing a Talley song just makes me want to listen to it again and again and hear other Talley songs as well. I think I bought like one of every cd at the table at that first concert I went to, and I’ve never regretted it! My favorite song by the Talley’s would have to be “His Life For Mine.” I like “Shout to the Lord,” “Orphans of God,” and “The Broken Ones” and pretty much everything else, but that is definitely my favorite song. I still remember where I was at the first time I heard that song and I knew I had to find out who the Talley Trio was!
Reply to Joseph McDonaldIt is hard to pick a favorite song of mine, but if I had to I would chose “Truth Is Marching On”. I have heard other southern gospel groups versions of this song, but none compares to the Talley’s version. This is the kind of song that works in many different types of gospel music, and is not limited to just southern gospel. I enjoy the Talley’s music and look forward to hearing future releases.
Reply to Bryan LangleyI love the talley trio Lauren is the best singer ever. My favorite songs are The Answer is Christ, Then and There, Testify, His Life for mine but i love all of them.
Reply to LaurenI have seen the talley trio in concert several times and have
Reply to Ronald Bradleybeen blessed each time. I believe that my favorite Talley
Trio song is Testify which I love to do. I also love Jesus
Saves and The Church Shall Rise. God bless you and keep
the blessings flowing.
I’m a huge Talley Trio fan. I usually try to catch you in concert everytime you’re within driving distance. For me to pick a favorite song or style is pretty tough. They’re all good! If I have to narrow it down to one, I would say I really like the sound and the message of “The Broken Ones”. It’s a different sound than you normally sing, but I really like it. It works well for you. The ratings certainly show it. I knew when I first heard it that it would chart well. As far as my other favs, I like “I have a friend” or “His life for mine” as well as some solos off of Lauren’s CDs. I have a lot of favorites! Keep up the good work. I’m looking forward to hearing the next CD. Hey Lauren! Have you filled up your box yet? Have a great day Talleys!
Reply to Sam KerfootHI, TALLEY TRIO, MY FAVORITE SONG IS ” SEARCHIN ” WITH JASON CRABB, IT’S A POWERFUL SONG AND A BLESSING, I LOVE THE BEAT AND THE TYPE OF MUSIC IN THAT SONG, I’M A SOUTHERN GOSPEL FAN… KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, MAY GODS BLESSINGS BE GREAT FOR YOU ALL, HAVE A BLESSED YEAR AND WRITE AND SING MORE SONGS LIKE ” SEARCHIN ” ,,, DON’T FORGET TO INVITE JASON CRABB EVERY NOW AND THEN………
Reply to ADDIE GRUBBMy favorite song of The Talley Trio “Almighty”! Lauren does a beautiful job singing this song as well as all the others! God is Alimighty!
Reply to StephanieHow you durin? Ya’ll are one of my favorites. I’m a big “Mountain Mover” fan. I start rockin’ back and forth in my car every time it comes on. I’m sure the people in the other cars think I’m an idiot. :o)
Ya’ll have a good’un.
Reply to ScootI love several of the Talley Trio songs!! Musically my favorite is “Searchin”. I love the up tempo and the soul that Lauren puts into that song.
Reply to Andrea SamonsLyrically, my favorite is probably “Orphans of God”. A great song!!
Y’all sing great! Keep it up!!
It does not matter to me what you sing..just sing! I love them all. But a recent favorite is “The Broken Ones”. All of my varied jobs centered around these special folks. One of them was a young man of 12 named Stevie who has watched his father kill his mother in a drunken rage. He was passed around from one relative to another and when he passed around several bikes and took them as his, he was passed on to me. The court felt a stable homelife would be of benefit to him so he was placed in a contract home which is similiar to a foster home. Unfortunately, the closest one was 60 miles away. On the day I was scheduled to move him, I learned that his grandmother was in the hospital. I knew how close they were so I took him there and left him for a couple of hours while I tended to some other things. Two weeks later I had to go get Stevie and bring him back for his grandmother’s funeral. After the service was over and we were on our way back to the contract home…Stevie asked me why did his grandma die. Well I took the medical approach and launched a discussion about her age, her heart problems…Stevie stopped me and asked did they not do heart transplants now? So I launched another discussion on a 12 year old level about waiting lists, donors…..and then Stevie solved the problem. You should have told me..my grandma could have had my heart. I said Stevie–we are too late–your grandma already has your heart. Stevie in all his 12 years reminded me of something I knew but I just keep forgetting. It is the world that breaks us and wants to keep us broken. It is only when we can be like Stevie and give our whole heart that we can be where God wants us and can use us best.
Reply to Linda ReddickMy first exposure to the Talley Trio was at a Gaither concert in Denver where I first heard Lauren sing. I was so very impressed and uplifted. That was also the first time I recall hearing Lynda Randle and I have thought ever since that Lauren and Lynda would sound great in a duet. I saw you all again at another Gaither concert in Denver a few years ago where I purchased my first CD of yours. I have two favorite songs both featuring Lauren - I love to Sing Your Praise and David Did Dance. My taste in Christian music is mostly Southern Gospel because it is real for me and the melodies and lyrics are alive and full of praise for our Lord while also being inspiring in an every-day life sort of way.
Thanks for responding to the Lord’s call in your lives and sharing the talents and gifts he has given you.
Reply to Dan Kuehloops! I had misspelled my own email address when I sent a comment earlier! I have corrected that in the appropriate field above. I guess that makes me human!
Reply to Dan KuehlI ALSO SAW YOU AT A GAITHER EVENT IN CHICAGO 7 YEARS AGO. YOU HAVE SUCH A POWERFUL VOICE . HOPE TO SEE YOU IN CHICAGO SOON
Reply to BradMy favorite Talley Trio song is “His Life For Mine” Lauren is the best Powerhouse singer that i’ve heard next to janet Paschal.
Reply to Tony PoteatAs much as I love the Talley Trio’s newer songs like “The Healer”, “His Life For Mine”, and their arrangement of “There Is A Fountain/Who Can Satisfy”, the song that sticks out most favorably in my mind is “If Anybody Knows” from the So Thankful CD.
Another one of my favorites is “Then and There” from Lauren’s first solo project.
Reply to Brandon CoomerWe have had the privaledge to have the Talley’s @ our church Mims Baptist in Conroe,TX and they were a real blessing!
Reply to Todd Jordanawesome talent, but more importantly wonderful spirit and desire to minister.
We get to have them again May 25th & our choir can’t wait to sing Truth Is Marching On!
Also, Lauren was a real help & encouragement to our group last year at the Steve Hurst music school,it was our first time there and we were scared to death, but she really put us at ease with Her heart and attitude. Thank you Lauren!
See you Sunday Todd!
Reply to Lauren TalleyLauren,
Sunday was a wonderful day! all of you did such a great job and I’ve never heard you do Praise The Lamb any better! my Bride told me that song spoke to her heart in a whole new way while we sang with you & I have heard similar sentiments from a number of people that were there.
Mrs Debra was a real treat,I can be around her for 5 minutes & I’am inspired & encouraged.
You can tell Roger I would’ve bought a ticket to hear him play that song he played at the beginning of the service!
I’am trying to think of something nice to say about Greg, nope nothing’s coming to me but tell him I’ll help him load speakers anytime regardless.
We love & appreciate all of you,and will keep you lifted in prayer,
Todd
Reply to Todd JordanMy favorite Talley style would have to be songs like “Thinking Bout Home” with the rich harmonies and heart piercing lyrics. But basically y’all have never sang a “bad” song so just keep doing what ya doing! Love you guys,

I really liked the song “Orphans of God”. It means a lot to me to know that God never forsakes His children, no matter what happens. Praise God for His goodness.
Reply to Janice Meltoni love them all especially when their being sang on the Bill Gaither homecoming videos
Reply to clay naylorI enjoy the power ballads that tend to lean a bit toward the inspirational or even contemporary style, songs like “Triumphantly The Church Will Rise”, “His Life For Mine”, and “Hallelujah, Praise The Lamb.” That style really fits your voices and blend well.
Reply to Wes BurkeHi! I’m 17 and from NC. Being a teen-ager certainly isn’t always easy, but after discovering your music I found that playing it when I was down, confused, or dicouraged always lifted my spirits. Now I can’t stop playing your music! Ya’ll are definantly my favorite artists! My absolute favorite release was Lauren’s single “I Live”. All of the songs on that cd have encouraged me so much, and Lauren has become my little sisters favorite singer after hearing me play that cd over and over again! I’m afraid I can’t state a specific song that is my favorite, all of them are such a blessing. Thank you Tally Trio for what you have done for me through your inspiring music!
Reply to Sarah WilliamsY’all sing such wonderful songs, it really is hard to pick a favorite. I guess I would have to say “The Healer” is my favorite because I know in my life He truly has healed me many times. Next would be “His Life for Mine” - what a powerful song. I still am awed by the fact that God would send His only Son to die for me and my sins. Next would be “Jesus Saves”. Yes He does.
Reply to LaurieGod bless you all, The Talley’s have touched my life with your music and testimonies.

I really when you sing songs like, “His Life for mine”, “Orphans of God” and “That Name.” I love all of these for the lyrics, but the singing is also wonderful. Of the more upbeat songs, I love “I am what I am,” “Testify,” “Searchin” “That wonderful name.” In the upbeat songs, I tend to like when you all sing with a little soul.
Love you guys,

i have loved the talleys since the roger, debra, kirk days.. what an addition lauren has been.. debra has one of the most amazing voices!!!!
Reply to bonnieWow, I am so pleasantly surprised at all these responses! We love hearing from you.
My favorite song to sing in concert is probably “The Broken Ones.” It has a great message, it’s well-crafted, and I get to sit down and sing something relatively soft and easy for once!
Reply to Lauren TalleyMy favorite song? Impossible to choose one but I love your solo
Reply to Katie Weaver“Lord I Believe In You.” Love the fast ones too like “Searchin” and “Testify.” PLEASE consider singing “Alabaster Box” I think you would do AWESOME on that song. Thanks!
The first Talley that ever performed at our church was Kirk Talley and we fell in love with him and his style of music. After that Kirk brought his brother and wife to our church and they sang as a trio and they were wonderful! We just recently had the new Talley Trio with Lauren come to our church and OH WOW! It was wonderful, lots of new songs and the new songs are so inspiring! My all favorite song is Hallelujah Praise the Lamb, but after hearing Lauren sing her new songs I have several favorites…The Broken Ones, His Life for Mine, Orphans of God, Truth is marching on and so many more. Thanks again for continually lifting the Lord our God up in such wonderful praising songs! We Love You!
Reply to GloriaSam, yes my jewelry box is full! I have three really big bracelets that take up the whole thing. Thank you again!
Marita, I hope we see you in Stavanger this fall!! Tell Bjorn to bring us some shrimp!
I love hearing everyone’s stories too. I think that will be one of the best things about this site- everyone sharing what particular songs and stories have meant to them. We’re all here to learn from each other and be encouraged- thank you so much for writing!
Reply to Lauren TalleyWow…I’m not really sure where to begin with my favorite Talley songs…There are a few that I hum most of the day…I love Searchin’, He Laid His Hand On Me, Shout to the Lord/How Great Thou Art, High and Lifted Up, Mountain Mover, That’s Enough….but the one I find myself singing the most is Red Letter Day…those are some of my favorites. I love you guys and I’m very thankful for you everyday because you’ll never know how much a song helps a 7th grade teacher make it through the day…I’ll be praying for you as you go through this selection process…I know how frustrating it can be….God Bless you all….Much Love-Katie
Reply to Katie BarrettWell, since I have been around since asphalt, it is hard for me to choose one Talley favorite. I always love the acappellos, the song combinations and the arrangements are always amazing. It is obvious when you sing these that you are the best of the best. I guess one of the stand outs is Shout to the Lord/How Great thou Art. I find myself playing that a lot. It is a good “crank it up and clean the house song.” You know I clean so often! I have a 6 cd disc holder in my car and 3 Talley CDs are there. Bet you can’t quess whats in the other 3. I love you guys and you are always such a blessing. I have been buying and listening to Talley songss since Debbie sang with the Hoppers. I told you I’d been here since asphalt (Roger has too!) I know God will send you exactly what you need to help you minister and bless your audience.
Reply to Kay BarrettWaiting on another CD,
Ilove you all,
Kay
I think Mary Ann would love for you guys to record a verson of the LSU Fight song for Van…I think it could be a very spiritually up-lifting for her….LOL

Reply to Katie BarrettI am a huge fan of the Talley Trio. I’ve sung with an all-male quartet since I was fifteen, so I love the old-fashioned “quartet-style” southern gospel. But I love the sound of a mixed group as well, especially when the harmonies are as tight as the Talleys’. My favorite Talley song to just pop in the CD player and sing along is probably “God Is Great, Good, and Merciful”, just because I love that old convention style stuff that gives every voice a lead. I also love your acapella material because of those tight harmonies and really cool arrangements especially “Oh Glorious Love”. I also love “That’s Enough” ’cause it allows me to hear a hero of mine Jake Hess sing again. If I had to pick one, though, that would be my absolute favorite Talley song it would have to be “I Love The Lord/Total Praise” because not only are the lyrics so beautiful, but the musical arrangement is just so spectacular as well. Who knows? I like all of it! God bless!
Reply to Keith WorthamThere is none better than the Talley Trio…Especially when they sing “The Broken Ones” “Orphans of God” “Mountain Mover” “His Life For Mine” “I Love the Cross”…and many more…I especially enjoy listening to Lauren’s solo cd’s…I have all of them and listen to them often…I was excited to hear about your new project…When are you coming back to Charlotte, NC…I would to hear you in person again soon…Keep up the good work…Lauren, are you going to release a new solo cd any time soon?…oh and Lauren, I had my picture taken with you at the Halloween Alternative Concert…is there an address I can mail that picture to to let you sign it..that would be awesome…Thanks…once again..keep up the good work…
Reply to Anthony OdomHey Lauren! Glad to see you’re getting some use out of the box. I never thought you would fill it up with just three bracelets. Maybe I should have given you a hope chest instead LOL! I bought your Stages CD when it first came out. I really liked how you had all the different guest spots. You said you were looking for ideas for the new CD. I don’t know what direction you’re taking, but it would be pretty cool if you could get the Booth Brothers to do a song with the trio, provided you could find a song that you could incorporate both groups. It would make for a pretty interesting studio session just having Michael Booth there. Just a thought. Have a great day! Say hi to the family for me.
Reply to Sam KerfootSpeaking of the Booth Brothers, Jim Brady has written several songs for us which are found on our “Rise Above” and “Stages” CDs. We are also planning another tour to Norway for November 2008, with a multi-night concert event in Stavanger, Norway featuring us and the Booth Brothers.
Reply to Lauren TalleyThat sounds like that’s going to be a good concert Lauren. Are you going to record that one for DVD? It sounds like that concert would have the potential to make a pretty good live DVD if it was feasable. I wouldn’t mind seeing that one, but I think Norway is a bit out of range for me! I probably won’t get to one of your concerts again until July when you come to Chambersburg, unless someone books the trio for a concert somewhere in the Maryland/Pennsylvania area before then. Tell your Mom I’m remembering her Sister’s Mother-in-law in prayer. Take care Lauren!
Reply to Sam KerfootMy favorite song is The Debt, as it tells us what Jesus did for us and what we owe Him.
My favorite type of song is one that tells a story of how we can praise the Lord or have fun in being saved. The tempo can be slow or fast.
The thing that I like about the Talley is the type of song they choose to sing. The songs are generally thought provoking and they make me happy to be saved.
Keep up the good work

Reply to AllanMy favorite Talley Trio song is one recorded a few years back on the Hope For Tomorrow album: “You Can’t Go That Far”. My reason? I struggle daily with a sin that is tough to beat. God has brought me far, but I went so far, fell so many times, that at times I feared I went too far. This song is one of the ones that has given me a lot of hope that no matter how far I have gone, and how often I have fallen, there is still hope, and He hasn’t given up on me. Thanks, Debra, Roger, and Lauren for recording that wonderful song.
Reply to Mark BuzardJust to give an update. We had the spring concert and graduation and both time the choir received a standing ovation on that song. (our choir very rarely receives standing ovations) I am the secretary for our school and I had so many positive response such as “that song is so annointed”, “I was ministered to by that song”. Our kids do a good job on majority of the songs, but I noticed that their posture changed when singing “Shout to the Lord/How Great thou Art”. They put their hearts into it and you could feel the presence of the Lord! What a wonderful night and what a wonderful song!
Reply to Allison CurrieI grew up with the talley’s, Debrah, Roger and Kirk. But it wasn’t until I did a search on youtube for “the talleys” and it came up with the video for “Shout to the Lord/How Great Thou Art”. FANTASTIC! I loved it so much that I got the Soundtrack and mistakingly let my mother listen to it. She fell in love and now her high school choir is singing this for our high school graduation. lol I have yet to use it. lol I am impressed with the Talley Trio and would love to see yall in concert sometime.
Reply to Allison CurrieI am A huge fan of The Talley Trio.I have almost all their cds but two.And I have all of Lauren’s Cds.She is such a great singer.

Reply to StephanieMy favorite songs vary as what I need to hear changes. There is always a Talley song that fits the bill. A steady favorite is “Then and There”, a song of encouragement and the Hope that awaits for us all.

Hey Lauren,
Long time no chat. How have you been? Well I have got a b-day present for you and every time you come to or close to Indy it seems that no one will take me to do anything. I hate being 14. Why is everyone out to get me!!!!!!???? LOL!! So I can’t wait to see you and be safe cus if anything ever happened to you I wouldn’t know what to do with myself. Keep singing with that precious voice.

Reply to Ronald Bradleygrop. I have seen and met the Talley Trio several times
and have been tremendously blesed each time. I thank you
for sharing the messages of God and the blessing given to
others all over the world. I praise God for the Talley Trio.
I have been a fan of the Talley Trio since 2004, and I love watching them grow in both their music and their ministry. They never cease to amaze me with their talents, and I know there are only great things to come from this family. My favorite Talley Trio song is The Broken Ones. It’s an amazing story, and it’s performed with such compassion… Great job guys! Love the site. Keep up the good work!
Reply to ShellyThe song that i currently have on repeat in my cd player is “Orphans of God”. I love the lyrics to this song! It is so true that no one is outside of God’s love…no matter what they have or have not done in their life. God is LOVE, and He is always there to pick us up when we fall down. Thanks Talleys for blessing all of us with the ministry God has give you. We love you!
Reply to MelanieHey talleys. I know the prayer section is not up yet, but i can use some. I have a job interview today. My current job is pretty secure, but i need to make some changes. I won’t loose sleep if i do not get it, but i’m still hoping things will work out. I’ve been looking for a while. Take care!
Reply to Sam kerfootMy favorite song you guys sing is The Broken Ones. It is a very beautiful song. Its sweet and sad in a way, and it also has a lot of meaning and a lot of truth and one of the main reasons I like it is Lauren. Her voice is absolutly beautiful and unique i’ve never heard anyone sing like her. She is really awesome.
