We want to thank each one of you who posted suggestions for
the title of our new recording. You came up with some very
creative ideas and we had a tough choice to make.

After much deliberation we have chosen Life Goes On as our
album title. It was originally suggested by commenter R J
Henderson, whom we have declared the official winner of
this contest. R J will receive credit for the title in the liner notes
of the project. Congratulations R J and thanks for the suggestion!

16 years old and from Statesville, N.C.,  R J says:

“I love singing.  I love listening to music.  I love to spend
time with my family and my church people.  I don’t like
people who are dishonest and “grumpy”.  I strongly
dislike hypocrites.  and rap music.  Ha.  There are so
many things I love about the Talley Trio.  I love their
testimony and what they stand for.  I admire the fact
that they travel the country, not just to sing but to
MINISTER through song.  I also love their songs and
the message in their songs.  My favorite songs are
“I Am What I am”, “The Broken Ones”, “Red Letter Day”,
“Truth is Marching On”, and “Life Goes On.” But what
I love the most about the Talley Trio is that they seem
so REAL on stage.  They don’t act different when they
are not.”

In the original post, we asked you to give us suggestions other
than the obvious song titles to see what other ideas could
possibly be titles, and did you ever come up with some
interesting ones! One idea that really caught our attention was
the suggestion of Loved By You, which refers to your
involvement in this process and the support that you have
shown us throughout this recording. We found several titles
plausible and very creative but  we kept coming back to
Life Goes On which emerged as an unofficial theme for the
recording.

So many of the songs chosen speak of the situations of life
and how faith in Christ brings hope, such as “Comfort Me,”
“The Winds of The World,” “I’ve Never Been Loved Like You,”
and of course, “Life Goes On.” No matter what circumstance
we may find ourselves in, whether it be loss of a loved one,
heartbreak, loneliness, physical difficulties, or spiritual needs,
because of our hope in Jesus Christ, life does go on. It is truly
the desire of our hearts that people would know that
through listening to this recording. And life goes on beyond
this life. The title is a message of hope for here and beyond,
summing up the message of this album in a simple yet
meaningful way.
