Winds Of The World: Lauren Vocal

Here I am In the studio working on my lead vocal for “Winds Of The World.”

The Winds of The World

C
Jesus is with me when the storm clouds gather
He’s standing by my side when I hear the thunder roll
He holds my hand when I begin to tremble
When the winds of this world are blowing strong

V
Jesus is a fence around His children
His grace is sufficient to stand the storm
His word is a promise we can stand on
When the winds of this world are blowing strong

V
Satan is moving to and fro throughout the land
Seeking out who he may devour
But he was defeated at Golgotha
That day when Jesus made him out a liar

V
Satan is always sneaking around the gate
Trying to lead a sheep astray
But He that is in us is so much greater than him
So then rebuke him and chase him away

V
If you are caught up in the winds of the world
With no joy in your life at all
Just give your heart to Jesus
He’ll always understand and He will never never let you fall

What a vocal workout! I’m dizzy just watching. Never did I realize how exhausting it must be to master just one song. Lauren certainly earned her pay on this one. It sounds AWESOME. I just can’t wait to get the final product, especially after learning so much about the whole process. I think I will appreciate your music more than ever before. Thanks for the open window!:)

And this song actually was one of the shorter ones as far as time spent working on it! ;)

Notice my big cup of sweet tea close by- I am a true southern girl!

It is amazing how much different your own voice sounds when you hear it back on something like this. Sometimes the way it feels in the studio going down is completely different from how you hear it on a recording. Most singers would say the only thing more agonizing than hearing yourself sing is watching yourself sing! We tend to notice every flaw (real or imagined!).

I’m very proud of this song and hope you enjoy it! I can’t wait to start singing it live.

I heard you for the first time on John Hagee, I was stopped in tracks when I heard the song ( Psalms 121 ) My help cometh fron the Lord . I hope you stay with that kind of open heart for the Lord. I know something broke over me when I worshipped during that song. Thank you for faithfulness.

Great job! Love that song and the heart with which you sing it, Lauren.

Isn’t it wonderful with the incredibe equipment these days that you don’t have to go back and start over after a “goof up” like we used to do in years gone by?

I absolutely love this song. I can hardly stop listening to it. My husband was like, are you ready for bed yet?, and I said, just one more listen and then I’ll go. I want the accompaniment if there’s going to be one available. Not that I can remotely compare with your vocals, but I’ll sing it for myself if nothing else. Where did you find it?
