Greetings Talley fans,
We have thousands of friends from all over the U.S. and several foreign countries who visit this site regularly. We’ve enjoyed hearing from those of you who post regularly and we feel like we’ve gotten to know some of you from your posts. We’ve decided that it would be good if we could get together face to face with you. So our question for you is,
1) Are you coming to the National Quartet Convention Sept 14-19 in Louisville, KY, if so,
2) which days will you be there?
If enough of you will be there, we”ll plan a time when we can meet and greet each other. Let us know by next Sunday (August 16th) so we will have time to plan. See you in Louisville!
Roger

I have been blessed to see ya’ll several times in the past, but never like it will be at the Hall. It is the most intimate venue I have ever found, and am so glad you are coming. The stage is only
Reply to Bob Russell4-6 feet from the front row and the worst seat in the house is Row 18 Center section. The stage is only two feet high. You will be “In Our Face”. The folks that come to the Hall every month are entusiastic. Many are up in years. All are wonderful folks. I would like to ask that ya’ll sing “Thinin About Home” that night. It will be a song that truly touches all in attendance and it is such a personal song for all who hear it.
I look forward to seeing you on Sept. 10th.
Have a great Convention,
God Bless!
Bob

Reply to Lauren TalleyI will be there Thursday thru Saturday. My husband and I buy tickets a year in advance. I regret to tell you that my husband graduated to heaven on April 28 this year. After much consideration I have decided to go this year. It is a grand time there. Everyone is there for the same reasons, listening to great performances, meeting our favorite singers, and giving God the glory for the talents he has given His children.

Reply to GrigsDear Lauren,
I apologize for using this forum to contact you, but I have no other way. My name is Deliska Silcox Lombard. I am Stephanie Silcox Howell’s sister. I think you would remember her as Silcox. Anyway, you guys went to music school together. I don’t know if you have heard, but she passed away a few weeks ago. I don’t know if you have had recent contact with her. If not, this may be surprising. She has been battling cancer for over a year. I just know, she would want you to know. She loved you and your mother dearly. We found pics of you both with her, that we showed at the funeral, very sweet. If you want to read more about what she has been going through you can go to http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/stephaniesilcoxhowell. God bless you!
Deliska S. Lombard
Reply to Deliska Silcox LombardOh my goodness I had no idea about her battle with cancer.
Reply to Lauren TalleyI am so sorry to hear that. She was a wonderful person and I have fond memories of our friendship. We will be in prayer for your family. God bless.
Hello to you:
I wanted to drop you a few lines to let you know how much you blessed us in your concert last night at Sandy Pines in Hopkins, Michigan. I spoke to Debra briefly before the concert and told her I knew it would be a blessing!
Do you remember singing at the Overlander Park in Portage, Michigan when Lauren was a toddler? That is one of the first times I remember seeing your family. Since then we have traveled from our home in Kalamazoo to many places to be blessed by you. We praise God for you and will remember your ministry in prayer.
Blessings, Pat and Loyd Stinnett
Reply to Pat and Loyd StinnettMore than likely I won’t be there. I’m not technically eligible for any vacation time until the end of Sept. I honestly haven’t had much time to even think about vacation. I’m going to try to take a day or two the week you come to do the concert at Shrewsbury so I can make sure everything is ready and so I’m not worn out by the time the concert rolls around. I haven’t been to NQC in years. Would love to make it back though. I missed getting to see some of the alumni from SHS this year, so it would have been good to see some of the people that are there from school.
Reply to Sam KerfootI plan to be at the NQC on Wednesday and leave on Sunday.
Reply to Sharon JacksonTake care and see you there…….
I will try to be there. My dad’s work schedule is crazy busy and I don’t know if I will be able to get off of work. If my dad goes I will go… if not then I probably won’t be there.
Reply to Lindsay WatsonHello Roger,
Reply to Darla StockingI would love to be there, but, until God blesses me with a vehicle, it’s hard to get anywhere, but, believe me, I would love come and meet you, Debra, and Lauren. I love your music. I bought the accompaniment cd of the song, “His Life For Mine”. I love this song, and it has blessed me very much. I sang it twice in my church already. God has definitely given you all a wonderful gift of singing for HIM. I may not have met you guys in person yet, but know that I love you all in Jesus’ Name.
Darla
