Good morning! I know you haven’t heard from me—at least on this site—since my NQC posts in September. But at NQC, knowing that they would be in my area in late October, I talked with Roger about the possibility of doing some videos at the concert.
I showed up last weekend not knowing what I’d film. When I got there, I heard that there had been a request for a video featuring Jim Whetsel, their sound engineer. Here you go:
And once the sound had been all set up, here was one of the highlights from the evening:

Hi Jim, I’m sure the Talleys appreciate you very much! I was at that concert in Shelby and when Lauren sang ” He’s Alive “, I got a chill down my spine listening to her sing, and knowing what that means to all of us. Thank you Jim for helping to spread the Good News.

What a spine chilling performance . Only GOD could be behind a performance like that . Thank GOD that he is alive because we need him more in our lives than ever before . Lets all pray for our NATION . God Bless The Talley’s for doing Gods work .
Reply to PeggyThe video doesn’t come close to capturing how spine chilling it was. The church – a Lutheran church, no less! – erupted into a spontaneous cheer as the chorus started!
Reply to Daniel J. Mountwow! this song is amazing! i can’t wait to hear it live in January when y’all come to Monroe!!!!!
Reply to HannahGreat old song with a fresh anointing… Lauren has a wonderful spirit of freedom to worship.
Reply to RebeccaHey Jim! Looks like you made the big time. I guess you’ll be autographing photos at the end of the concert now?
Reply to Sam KerfootIt’s pretty cool for everyone to get a glimpse of everybody that’s on the team.
Take care!
Hey guys,
Jim is a great guy. It’s not uncommon to see him talking about the Lord to a total stranger in a restaurant or a truck stop somewhere. He also is in charge of making bacon-egg-cheese sandwiches on the bus late at night.
As for “He’s Alive,” that song absolutely wears me out but I love singing it!
Reply to Lauren TalleyHi Lauren, enjoyed reading your comments and I especially enjoyed meeting you at the NQC. You were the highlight of our trip. I’m sure you will remember the ladies from North Carolina, aka, Kenya W. ha. ha. We had so much fun. Hope this gets memo gets through.
Reply to Glennis B. HuntGlennis,

Reply to Lauren TalleyNeat!
It was the longest running #1 hit on CCM radio, ever. I think it was #1 for something like 16 months.
