MERRY CHRISTMAS: From Us To You!

Every Christmas, I’m reminded of past Christmases.  My favorite one is the year Lauren was born.  Since she was born two weeks before Christmas, we decided that we would exchange our gifts before driving to Tennessee to Roger’s parents house the week before Christmas.  Roger had bought a large stocking with her name written in glitter across the top and we put her down in it and took a picture. (It’s too cute – you should see it!)  After dinner one night, we wrapped her in a blanket and laid her under the tree with all the gifts.  Roger and I sat on the floor and began to unwrap our gifts to each other.  I would hand him a gift and he would open it, look at her, and cry.  He would hand me a gift and I would open it, look at her, and cry.  I really can’t remember a thing I received that year, because not one gift could compare to our little gift God had given us that year.  I imagine that Mary must have felt much the same when Jesus was born.  As she wrapped her baby in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger, she must have praised God.  Wise men came and brought priceless gifts to honor Jesus birth, but nothing could compare to the gift God had given her.

As you open your gifts this year, give thanks for your blessings and remember with each one you unwrap the greatest gift every given to man.  Jesus Christ, our Lord.  Merry Christmas!

Congratulations Barbara Fisk!

    Thanks Doug,
We always enjoy coming to Mobile for Winterfest! It’s just a special place and there is such a great spirit there. It seems that the folks expect more than just a concert and God always honors that. We will see you there next year, if not before.

I was looking up your songs on youtube and decided to visit your website. I saw you first with the Gaithers and purchased several of your CDs. Two of my favorites are The Prayer and also The Healer. I have nearly worn out my CDs. After looking at your schedule I saw you are going to be performing at the Summer Arts Festival in Springfield, Ohio June 23. That is my home town. I am so excited and have already marked the date on my calendar so I will not miss that night. I have been so blessed by your amazing voices. Your music has a way of reaching to the heart. Thank you for your blessings and may God continue to bless you. Claudia
