The Talley Trio has started work on a new project! Here, Lauren introduces “Good Things,” a song recorded by the Hemphills a number of years ago that they’re going to bring back. Then she lays down a “scratch vocal,” to help indicate to the band where they are in the song, as the band records the track in the next room.

Is this album going to be similar to the Songs You Know by Heart album?
Reply to Andrew S.It’s more like Life Goes On. It’s predominantly new songs, even though this one happens to be one that’s been done before.
Reply to Daniel MountIt’s sounding good.
Reply to chuckboWhen’s the target release date? I don’t have any feel for how long it takes to get an album made and published.
Hi Lauren,
Purchased your latest album by mail and haven’t stopped playing it since received. Each song has such a blessed message, and your voice just gets better and better! Thank you for sharing your talents with us!! My 16 year old granddaughter, Desiree, thinks you sing “awesome”. My favorite is “No Matter What Comes my way, my life is in your Hands”! Going thru heartbreaking losses in my life right now, and this song has truly ministered to me in a way no other can.
With Love,
Carlene Thomas

Reply to GraceThat song sounds great. It has a good message, steady tempo and great music. It seems you all have a great feel for that song. I can’t wait to hear that one at a concert. Lauren and Roger, you seem to enjoy that song. Lord willing, I look forward to hearing you all in concert in late August in Philadelphia, MS. May God continue to bless you.

Reply to JZThanks, yet again, for doing what you’re doing for the LORD. Please keep me in your prayers as right now I’m experiencing a breakup with someone that I’ve been going out with for a while now and it is tearing me apart inside. Please pray that God will mend and fix this situation, as He knows all things, and only He can make what is wrong right.

Reply to RJ HendersonMy dad and I are thinking of attending The Talley Trio concert in Springdale, Arkansas on July 9th, and we are curious if we will need tickets or if it is a love offering. I have been trying to contact the church but I have not gotten a hold of them yet. Thanks!!!
Reply to KaseyHi Kasey, and everyone else.
The concert on July 9th will be a $5 donation at the door and a love offering will be taken also. I hope you can attend. We’re singing with The Williamsons that night – they’re a really good mixed quartet from Oklahoma.
Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes. It was a wild day! We were singing in Waco, Ky on my birthday so I got taken out for a nice lunch/dinner by Debra and Lauren. When we got home that night, the nursing home called and said they were taking my mom to the hospital. I ended up not getting any sleep that night, but she is doing better and was taken back to the nursing home yesterday. Please continue to pray for her.
We had some awesome concerts last weekend. On Wednesday evening, we sang in Springfield OH for WEEC Radio as part of the Arts Festival. They had about 1600 people at a park and we sang to a very enthusiastic audience.
On Saturday evening, we sang in Wilkesboro NC at the Racetrack for the Singing in the Foothills concert. Its a benefit for Ebenezer Childrens Home under a huge tent that seats about 5000 people. It was about 100 degrees in the shade!! We had a great time. Thanks to John and Jackie Wishon and the staff of Ebenezer for treating us so wonderful. They even made us a barbecue dinner with sweet tea and hushpuppies. YUM!!
We ended the week at Central Baptist Church in Kanapolis, NC with our friends Sydney and Cathy Coble. This church has a wonderful music program, great choir and musicians and we look forward to going back.
This weekend we’ll be in Michigan. Saturday evening is in the Upper Peninsula at Hiawatha Campground in Eckerman. On Sunday morning, July 4th we’ll be in Port Huron. If you’re close by, come and see us.
We love you guys.
Roger Talley
Reply to Roger TalleyThanks so much. We will be there if everything go according to plan. I cannot hardly wait.
Reply to KaseyOooo…I can’t wait to get this next CD! One of the reasons I enjoy the Talley trio so well, is simply, they pick such incredible songs!!! I grew up listening to the Hemphill’s and this song in particular! “Good Things”= good times. God bless you as you continue to work so hard for His kingdom.
