First, because you deserve it, and second because we need your help (again).  We need you to listen and give us your best idea for a radio single release.  We will, of course, also be asking some others, like radio DJ’s, but we definitely want your input.  We have to decide by September 15th, so get in on this as quickly as you can. I’m assuming you won’t be sending “Hallelujah, Praise the Lamb” to radio, since that has already been a radio hit for the Talleys.

So…my vote goes to “Realms of Glory Bright.”

Upon further thought (and on my sixth listen through the project), I find myself starting to wish the charts moved a little faster. In addition to the two I mentioned in my initial post, I’d also love to hear “I Will Sing of My Redeemer” and “Life Goes On” on radio.

Because of its soaring lyrics, “Realms of Glory Bright” is still my pick to go first, but any of the four would be great.

Decisions, decisions… how many do you get to publish on radio? Is it at least 3 songs or so? My first choice would be an upbeat song like “Winds of This World” or “Jesus You Are.” Of course your ballads are phenomenal because of the great harmonies, too so…in that case I would go with “I Will Sing of My Redeemer.” Or, “Realms of Glory Bright.” Whew! That really narrowed it down, I’m sure! Ha!:) Hope that helps.:)

I love all of the songs from this cd but the two that stand out the most for me are The Winds of This World and Life Goes On, becaue for me they remind me of a time in my life when the winds were so strong a part of me did not believe that life could go on, but then all of a sudden something changed and I realized that life does go on. To me either one of those songs would make a good single. I have always been inspired by all of your music and I want you to know that this means so much to me, to have gotten to have a say in this cd, because you have had a huge impact on my life and as for Lauren she is my heroe. Thanks again.

Hey guys!! The CD sounds great! As I listened to each song, I tried to think of which song that would make me jump to the volume button and crank it up if I were to hear this on the radio! Since knowing all of you, I have to be honest and say that I am that way with every song, but I try to put myself in the shoes of someone who may have never heard you sing. Although “Winds of This World” and “Jesus You Are” are powerful, upbeat songs, I really think that “Life Goes On” is the one that really gets my attention. If I had never heard ya’ll sing, that one would be the one that would make me “crank it up”!!

Thats it for now! See you soon!

Then “Comfort Me” or “I’ve Never Been Loved Like You”
I would call this CD a moody CD, it’s a good mix when it comes to messages and styles of songs. There is something for everyone and for every mood. I look forward to getting a copy of your new CD soon.

I think y’all should release Winds of This World as sort of a follow-up to That’s Enough. Those have that “Talley Trio attitude” (i.e.-Mountain Mover, Testify, Jesus Dropped the Charges, and Jesus Be a Fence around Me)and they have interlocking messages. If you released a second or even a third single, “I’ve Never Been Loved like You” and “Realms of Glory Bright.” Thanks though for listening to our output!

It’s been a while since we heard a radio single in the vein of “Searchin’.” “Winds Of This World” would remind fans of the type of song that attracted many of them to the Talley Trio in the first place.

I think the other obvious choice is “Jesus You Are.” It’s a simple lyric, but it’s the sort of lyric that sticks in your head.

My first choice would be “Life Goes On”
2nd choice is “Realms of Glory Bright”

I’ve listened to these songs all night on my ipod while at work (10 hour shift) so I had lots of time to think about this.

The CD has such a variety of styles of music. The harmony is awesome and tight….actually gives me goosebumps. I’ve cried and clapped, prayed and celebrated the ONE to whom we all sing our praises.

The song “My Hope” is so powerful. I’m approaching the 5th anniversary of my only child (daughter) going to heaven unexpectedly and this song ministers to my aching heart. Truly I have learned that even in the deepest darkness that can’t be imagined……MY HOPE is in Christ!

I’m looking forward to seeing how God uses this music for HIS kingdom! Well done!!

Realms Of Glory Bright: Final Mix

When we first posted some of the in-the-studio work on various songs, “Realms Of Glory Bright” got the most attention from you. Much work has gone on since you saw that early video. We slightly rearranged a part of the song based on a suggestion by Daniel Mount.  Then we spent more days in the studio working on vocals and then added some orchestration (kudos to arranger Jason Webb).  After everything on every song was actually recorded, we began the process of mixing.  Basically, mixing makes sure that every instrument and vocal part is exactly at the right volume level everywhere in the song.  Mixing requires as much time as recording the music, or recording the vocals. It is where everything gets polished.

So, for all of you who are showing your loyalty to us and this Tree-o website, here is the final version of “Realms” for you to hear and, as always, tell us what you think. Read More »

I love that idea. That way the ones who wanted the group shots won and the ones who wanted the sperate shots one. Thanks for letting us have a say in this it will probably become one of my favorite cd’s that I own. This has been great, thanks again.

Thanks for allowing your fans to share this process with you. Doing so will only build on the loyalty of them; me included.

Glad the project is getting wrapped up. The single shot idea is great, but Roger & Lauren couldn’t you have picked pictures that at least looked like you were “Loving Life”?

Hey Talleys, glad to see that you could come up with a good compromise for the cover design. It was pretty much divided between #1 and #3, so this way everybody is happy. You probably thought you really opened up a can of worms asking everybody for their opinion! Using both is a great idea. Have a great day!

Thanks for letting us have our input into the decision. Your choice allows those who prefer separte shots & those who prefer group shots to each have a selection. Very diplomatic. :)

Hey–will you include BGVs on the accompaniment track CD? I already know I’ll be purchasing that– probably at the same time I purchase the CD!–but we are hoping there will be BGVs at least for the more spotlight-solo songs.

    Can’t wait…can’t wait!!

Hey guys! I like the choice of the new CD cover. Looks awesome. I especially like the green background, it’s pretty cool. Maybe next time you could have a blue and white background!?! lol

People are still talking about the concert that was here in Columbus, IN on the 8th. You all definitely were on it!!! Kay (the custodian) has gotten saved!! She was really impacted by you all and your music. I mean, for her first concert, she got the best.

thanks again for everything. We will see ya’ll at NQC. Hope all is well!!

PS. Lauren, I like the shirt in the pic…. your gonna have to teach me fashion….lol

I appreciate having the chance to have input in the covers of the new album. You all look happy to me but Lauren looks like she has something on her mind with the look. It is all great and i pray that it is a big seller. I know i will buy one. Hoping to see ya’ll at Philadelphia, MS at the FCA Summer Concert. I have been watching the Gaither Homecoming Series a lot lately and enjoy your singing on them especially Carnigie Hall tapes. May God Bless You and Keep You.

CD Cover Design Ideas

OK. We’re getting close to the finish line! Here are some cover designs that our graphic artist has created.  We are looking at them to see what parts of each design we like the best.  What do YOU think? Let us hear from you. We have to decide really soon because we are trying to have this completed and manufactured in time to bring it to NQC. (Click to enlarge.) Read More »

All four of them are great, but cover #1 is the best in my oppinion. The background is perfect, your smiles are perfect, and the poses are perfect. I will be happy with any picture you choose though because the cd will be great no matter what. Thank you so very much for letting me be a part of this cd. Ya’ll are great people.

I like the way The Talley Trio is written. Modern and clean. Not nostalgic. Norway will like that cover! But we like you anyway.

Definitely #1. You look like a family, and natural in #1, and that is what you are ! The other covers you look separated and look like you posed for it ! That is my humble opinion. Thank You for the journey, it was fun ! :)
